What is a Trusteel MK2 & 3M House Mortgage?
The Trusteel MK2 & 3M House Mortgage, sometimes known as Minox or Trusteel are semi-detached homes and bungalows. Compared to other steel framed homes such as BISF homes, these can be difficult to identify as they have a brick skin. To the casual eye, they appear to be standard brick homes. Manufactured by Trusteel Corporation from 1946 ~ 1966, these homes were built after the second world war to meet demands for homes. Around 20,000 of these homes were built across the UK, many of these homes provide safe and comfortable homes for thousands of families across the UK.
Because these homes look like traditional brick built homes, its can be hard to identify them. Best way is usually in the loft where there is usually some exposed steel work which will confirm it has a steel frame.
The Trusteel MK2 home can be more difficult to identify as the name applies to bungalows, semi-detached houses and detached houses.
Getting a mortgage on a Trusteel Home
Whilst these homes are no more likely to have issues than any normal home, the types of problems can be unique to that property type. For this reason, many high-street banks will not provide a mortgage on these types of homes.
